Welcome to the Searching for Steely Dan blog. I am the author, the self-proclaimed semi-retired refugee from the high-tech electronics industry. This is my first novel. I am working on a second novel (At the Mix Bar) to be published in early 2007 (or earlier, if I ever finish the damned thing), and have some ideas for other books.
         In some ways, I am like my protagonist, the inimitable Eddie Zittner. How? you might ask. Well, for one thing, I have written a lot of short stories that I never could get published. I am also a big fan of Steely Dan, Fagen, and Becker, and have been for more than 20 years.
         I would like to hear your opinions, but let's try to stick fairly close to the following subjects: The First Novel (SFSD), The Planned Second Novel (ATMB), ideas for other books, and, of course, The Dan and their music.
